Hello,

I tried to google, but was unable to find any instructions that tell
someone how to disable the MS-Vista internet connection. I would like my
Vista machine to be able to access the other computers in the LAN only.
How can one do this? I am about to spend some quality time with my
router, to see if I can accomplish this via router settings. If anyone
has any suggestions on this, I would greatly appreciate them.

Perplexed,

John

Yes you can do it in your router.
If you tell us your router name, we can tell you how to do it.

"MAC Adress Control", "Connection control", "Clients with C checked
can connect to this device; and deny/allow unspecified MAC addresses
to connect.", "Fixed Mapping..."

How about setting the PC up with a fixed IP address with no gateway
address. So long as the rest of your PCs are on the same subnet then the
VISTA PC will still see them.
Provided the user using the PC is a standard user they won't be able to
change the IP address settings and re-add the gateway in.
