Running row totals after complex filters

Is there an easy way to see 'at a glance' running totals of rows afte
applying complex filters to large S/S's? The spreadsheet grows on
daily basis so I can't use a formula on, say, row 100.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi Carl
not quite sure what you're trying to do but have a look at the SUBTOTAL
function

Carl:
More and more I use Subtotal(9,G5:G10000) << for the sum and
Subtotal(3,G5:G10000) << for the count
And I place these formulas in Row 1 and highlight the cells - I might have
row/field headers down to Row 4; then of course I click on cell A5 and then
Window, Freeze Panes this way whatever is currently filtered <<at the
moment>> Row 1 shows the current Sum or count..

Jim,

I agree with this approach, and use it frequently. It's very effective.
I've had resistance from some clients, who start to twitch when you don't
put totals at the bottom, unfortunately.
