running query at start up

the query that i'd like to run is an update query, and it will prompt the
user before it begin its work. and if the user refuses to update the purpose
of setting up the query would be gone futile. i am actually planning to
monitor the logging in of users, so i'm using the update query to update my
table whenever a particular has logged in. thanks for the help. hope to hear
from you sooner.
