XP Home SP3, with all updates

I'm running out of space in my data partition, but....

A) Even after I delete** 800 megs of stuff I don't need, I only have
30 mb more empty space. **(fully. I don't send it to the recycle
bin, and it's not in there now.)

B) I click on the balloon that tells me I'm running out of space,
which brings me to Disk Cleanup for this partition. It has 3 lines.
Two are listed as 0 KB and one is the Recycle Bin, which it says has
3,368 KB in it.

But when I actually look at the "Recycled" folder, with a Win Explorer
enhanced equivalent, it says it has 1.2 gigs in it, not just 3.4 megs.
Is the discrepancy because I'm using the so-called Nonton Protected
Recycle Bin? (Long story why I have any Norton installed.)

Thanks
