Running out of licenses

Guest

Hi
I am a unix administrator so my knowledge of Windows terms is not great. I have a WIN 2K server that I use to access our DMZ. However I frequently cannot access this box as there are too many users logged on. I believe there are 2 conccurent users allowed by default. What must I do and how much will it cost to increase the number of users allowed

Many Thank

Julian, in order to allow more than two users, you need to run the server in application mode (rather than the current remote admin mode) and provide the relevant number of terminal services cals (these are on top of the normal CALs)

Hope this help

Thanks Tony
I think that given my Unix background the light of comprehension has not yet descended upon me

Can you help with the following

I saw a previous thread where you mentioned how to check the mode the server is currently in. You mentioned Add/Remove Program then Add/remove Windows Components. I got that far but could not find any mode under Terminal Services

Can you point me at any documentation/web site where I can find out

1. How much would the Cals be
2. Where I can purchase these license
3. The install procedure

Thanks very much for your help
