hi all!

i wanted to run windows xp unattended installation on my 5
computers but didnt want to run them individually so i
tried the unattended option. the problem is i cannot
connect to the installation files on the network because
when i use net use it doesnt work. it only works from
command prompt of any machine running windows and i havent
installed anything on my new machines. can i use net use
from dos or any other command based utility to accomplish
this?

thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, it is not so easy to get network support in clean DOS.
My advice: forget it. If you really need to use unattended installation,
save your unattended answer file to floppy drive, and the run the setup
from the CD, with a parameter to use the answer file from a floppy
drive.

Best regards,

Install LAN Manager 2.0 on your client computer. This allows you to share
resources and access network resources from DOS. This software can
downloadable from Microsoft website. You need to search for it. ;-)
