Running Make Table Access Queries from Excel

Hi,
I have an Excel Speadsheet that imports data from a number of Select Access
Tables into different Worksheet. This work well for users that are not
familiar with MS Access since they can just open the Spreadsheet and that
Data fro each worksheet is refreshed for them.

However I need to create a Make Table Query for one of the data exports and
then I have another Select Query based on that table. The problem is how can
I set up the Spreadsheet to refresh that Access Table prior to running the
data refresh so that the users get the latest set of data? The Refresh in
excel (using !) only runs the select Query and will not update the Table! In
the a way to automatically update that table from excel with say a macro of
VB?

Thanks for any help in advance.

What does having a "made" table allow you to do that a simple query doesn't?

Thanks for your response.

I need to find unmatched records between two tables and want to display the
record from the first table but need to exclude some records of the second
table from the match. If I include criteria to exclude records from the
second table in the same Selection Query with the matched table I get no data
selected even though there are some unmatched records.

So, you can use a query the same as a table in a subsequent query.

Instead of making a table, then comparing, just use a query to get the
records. Then create your comparison query, "chaining" on the first query
....
