Running in the Background

I just installed a new computer running Windows Vista Home Premium. I am
running Office 2003 Professional and have setup Outlook as my mail client.....

I have never faced this issue when i was running windows xp professional
SP2....

When i close Outlook it doesnt seem to stop the process it still runs in the
background... the icon still shows in the taskbar and it also doesnt
close.... the only way for me to close it is to go to the task manager and
end the process...

needed to find if there way a solution to this problem or some configuration
required which maybe i am unaware of.

Appreciate the help... Thanks....

Does Outlook synch with any device that might be keeping it open?
Try disabling all Outlook add-ins and add them back one by one.

Tools | Options ... somewhere there you will find add-in manager. I don't
have 2003 here to check the exact location. Help might help you.
