Running foreign language software under English WinXP

Hello. I'm currently running the English edition of Windows XP (Home
Edition). Lately I've tried installing some Chinese software, but the
Chinese text is garbled and I can't read the menus. Is there a
service/support pack available that I can download for the system to
recognize Chinese characters?

You could try this:

http://www.microsoft.com/globaldev/tools/apploc.mspx, it allows your
computer run non-Unicode software, however I haven't figured it out a
better way to display non-Unicode input rather than just download an
njstar. You can download it from www.njstar.com but it only allow you
use for certain time.
