Running an EXE File from a network drive without security warning

Hello

Our users were always connected to our servers through network drives,
because our network was built on novell netware servers. For several reasons
we do not want to change this and continue to use those network drives to
access our servers. This causes some security warnings when trying to start
an EXE file from a network drive. I found out the article 303650 on the
knowledge base, but this does only work with shares. As soon as you try to
enter a network drive in the security settings of the Internet Explorer, it
is converted to an IP address...
How can I get over it ?

Thanks for any reply

Nicolas, have you tried using the this kind of notation:

file://servername.domain.com OR
file://servername

?

I just tried this in the IE Trusted Sites zone, and once I disabled the
checkbox it at least accepted this format in its list.
