Running a script on shutdown

T

The One

Hi All,

My AV software has a bug in it at startup and I need to run a DOS command
to prevent it auto-loading ( I then have to start it manually).

Can anyone tell me how I can get a W2K machine to run a batch file at
shutdown?

TIA

Hi

Start | Programs | Administrative Tools | Local Security Policy | Computer
Configuration | Windows Settings | Scripts (Startup/Shutdown) | Shutdown.

Hope this helps

That won't help...

The Local Security Policy does not contain the mentioned
entries.

The entries are in the Group Policy.
Start>Run>gpedit.msc

Computer Configuration | Windows Settings | Scripts
(Startup/Shutdown) | Shutdown

Thanks for the correction. I always go in through gpedit.msc, but was
trying to give directions through the GUI (and didn't check).
