Running a report based on aquery

Jayne

Can anyone tell me why when I run a query my records are sorted correctly by
a numerical field, but when I use this query to run a report they no longer
apear sorted correctly.

This is very frustrating and I don't know why this is happening!

Thank you

In report design view, open the Sorting And Grouping Dialog.
Choose the field(s) you wish to sort by.

In general, there's no point sorting in the query, because the report's
sorting is defined by the Sorting And Grouping.

A report ignores any Order By clause used in the query.

If you want to specify a sort or group in a report, you use the Sorting
and Grouping menu item located in the View menu.
