Running a macro in Excel

I am using the Microsoft Excel 2010 (Beta). I click on a button to run a
macro which creates a text file and Excel does not respond. This only
happens when I use a particular template that allows the macro to generate
2000 rows of data. When I send this same file to someone who does not have
the 2010 (Beta) version, it works fine for them.

Any ideas?

Where the file will be getting exported? Whether do you have necessary
permission to save your file on that particular location?.
