Running a game under the Windows 98 mode using XP Compatibility Tool

Hi there,

Just pulled out the ole Half-Life game. Have Windows XP
now, and the Sierra website recommends that I 'run the
game under Windows 98 mode using the XP Compatibility
Tool". Wish I knew what the heck they are talking about!
I will kiss any of you red-headed step children that can
give me step-by-step instructions of how to do this!!

select desired object
right click -> properties
compatibility tab
make desired changes
done

Make sure you have directx 9.0b ver. installed and you
might try upgrading your video drivers. If this works
please e-mail and let me know.
