ALLCON,
Recently, during shutdown, an error message pos
up "rundll32 able to shutdown" then normal end program
option? The system powers up normally without a hitch and
run fine until shutdown. Any suggestions?

Roy,

Based on the description of the issue, I would imagine that it may be that
the rundll32 is corrupted and needs to be reinstalled. To resolve this
issue, I would suggest you to run SFC and check if the problem persists. To
run SFC, please follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Insert the Windows XP CD.
2. Go to Start -> Run.
3. Type Cmd
4. At the command Prompt, type SFC
5. Follow the wizard and restart the computer.

However, if the problem does not get resolved, I would suggest you to run
the MSconfig utility and uncheck all the programs that are not necessary
and check if the problem is resolved.
