rundll error message

Hi all;
i need help as a friend has the following error message
RUNDLL, system 32 not found.
he gets this whenever he reboots the system although he just closes dialog
box with no ill effects what is it and how can i cure it

any assistance greatfully recieved

It is conceivable that software has been installed on your PC without your
knowledge. If possible, install and run one or both of these utilities,
which will detect that software, and give you the option to vanquish it...
