RUNDLL error message on start up

When I start my computer I receive the following error message:

"RUNDLL error loading C:\Program Files\Wild
Tangent\Apps\CDA\cdaEngine0400.dll"

I believe "Wild Tangent" is from a group of games that were once downloaded
on my computer which have since been deleted.
How can I now get rid of this error message and ensure the games are off my
computer?

Hi,

Start->Run-> msconfig.exe
Click Startup Tab
Uncheck required app.
Restart the system.

Hello Nikhil and thank you for your quick response. I have been unable to
reply until now, sorry for the delay. Anyway, I tried your suggestion of
running msconfig. However, when I restarted the computer I received the
following message:

"You have used the System Configuration Utility to make changes to the way
windows starts. The System Configuration Utiltiy is currently in Diagnostic
or Selective Startup mode, causing this message to be displayed and the
utility to run every time Windows starts.
Choose the Normal Startup mode on the General tab to start Windows normally
and undo the changes you made using System Config Utility.
(Check box) Don't show this message or launch the System Configuration
Utility when Windows start."

Since I didn't know what to do I put it back to "Normal" startup. Therefore,
the message still appears.

To the others that replied,
Thank you and I will try your suggestions and see if that works and let you
know.

Bye for now,
Krissy

Thank you S. Sengupta. The information on your link was very informative,
easy to follow and helpful.
I used the Wild Tangent uninstall download and it was successful. I couldn't
find the variable file you talked about, but the error message has now gone
and I think that is ok?
I did have Spybot Search and Destroy, I deleted the file from its "Recovery"
also. However, I never ran it in safe mode before. I have done so and it
picked up and cleared another file.
Thank you again for all your help.
