runas and network drives

I am trying to run a program with admin privilges which needs to
access some network drives that are already mapped for the user. No
matter what I try when I use the runas command, it doesn't find any
network drives. Can anyone help me. I really don't want the user to
have admin access for the whole workstation.

What you can do is connect to the network drives using your credentials.
One way to do this is to map a network drive from explorer. When you are in
the Map Network Drive dialog click the 'connect using a different user name'
hyperlink and supply your creds. Now you can run the program but don't
forget to disconnect the mapped drive when you are done.

That might work. If I change the credentials of the drive will it
stay if they restart the computer? I don't want them to ask me
everytime to put in the password. I am only going to give them access
to the drives they need to use.
 
Ok. I don't think I completely understood what you wanted to do. It sounds
like you want the credentials to the network drive to persist after reboots.
To make this happen you do the following:

1. open control panel
2. open User Accounts control panel item
3. Select the local account you want give network credentials to
4. click 'manage my network passwords' hyperlink in the upper left hand
corner
5. This will open the 'Stored User Names and Passwords' dialog; click
the Add button
6. type the name of the server in the 'server:' edit box
7. supply your user name and creds and the click the OK button
8. click the Close button

Now when the user tries to access this network resource XP will use the
credentials you entered above. These credentials are stored on the machine
until you delete them from the dialog we used above.
