run time

im a computer idiot. navigating the web, i often run into
a problem following links. if i go past the main page i
get a runtime error that requires me to restart my
computer. i recently downloaded updates and it helped for
about 24 hours, but its back. anybody know whats up?
 
It would help if you were to post the complete and exact error message.
