'Run-time error 2501. The Open Form action was cancelled.'

I get the 'Run-time error 2501. The Open Form action was
cancelled.' when I attempt to specify criteria in
the 'where' clause section of the DoCmd action. My 'where'
clause works perfectly fine if I attempt to open the form
to one record only, but when I specify multiple criteria,
I get this error. Please help!
