Environment:
Client: Microsoft Access XP SP3 running on Windows 2000 SP4
Print Server: Old: Windows 2000 SP4 New: Windows 2003
Problem:
Printing some (but not all) Access XP reports to a network printer results
in msgbox:
Microsoft Visual Basic
Run-time error '2213':
Ther was a problem retrieving printer information for this object. The
object may have been sent to a printer that is not available.
The printer IS available and other reports as well as other applications can
print to it before an after the error.
Thus far the circumvention has been to
1: remove the printer definition from the client
2: remove the printer definition from the server
3: add the printer to the server
4: add the printer to the client
Obviously this is not exactly an optimal approach.
I can find no reference to the RTE 2213
