Run-Time error 1004

When I try to run my macro that uses advanced filter it works fine, until I
try to share the workbook. When I share the workbook I receive the following
error

Run-Time error 1004 AdvancedFilter method of range class failed.

I don't think that "Advanced Filter" is available in shared mode.
Check Data>Filter to see if 'Advanced Filter' is greyed out.

Hi Gary,
I agree with you, so I have been trying to hide rows based on the criteria
as a work around. Bob Philips provided code to accomplish this however when
there are a lot of rows it runs a little slow.
