Hi,

I just installed SP1, and previously I had the RUN in the right-hand side of
the start menu, How cna I restore it

To add the Run command to the Start menu:

Right-click on the Taskbar and select Properties.
Click the Start Menu tab, and then click Customize.
In the list of Start menu options, select the Run command check box,
and then click OK.
The Run command will be displayed on the right side of the Start menu.

That's the way that I had done it before, but it no longer appears in the
list, I still have the run as a clickable choice in "All
Program/Acessories", but that is all

To use the Run command, simply click on the blue Vista start
button and type: RUN in the "Start Search" box and the Run
icon will appear at the top of the Start Menu. You can also
right-click on the Run icon and select "Send To > Desktop
(create shortcut).

Read Carey's reply, but let me also mention two other alternatives:

1. On the start menu, use the "start search" bar as a place to enter
commands.

2. Hold down the Windows key and press "R" to pop up a Run command
window.

I want it where it was before, on the right-hand side of the start menu

Why is it that SP1 remove so many usefull feature such as the run command
and Search

The start search menu does not run drives, it works only to find application
that are installed on a computer and that have a link in the start menu

SP1 did not remove the Run command from the right side of my Start menu.
It's right where it was before.

In the Start Search box, type 'regedit<enter>'

In the registry, navigate to:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]

In the right-hand pane, look for a value named 'NoRun' and delete it if it
exists.

The "NoRun" does not exist, and the RUN coomand as disappeared from all
users, and a friend of mine notice that in its place there is a new SEARCH,
which does nothing since the search in Vista does not exist anymore

Are you certain you are not overlooking the "Run command" box when you
right click the taskbar, Properties, Start Menu, Customize as mentioned by
the others? It's located below the "Printers" box. SP1 did not remove the
Run command from the right side of my start menu. SP1 did not remove the
"Run command" from my start menu Properties.
I have not seen any complaints about this other than yours so it seems
that it is not a bug or a problem suffered by others. But then again, maybe
they simply haven't started a thread about the problem yet.
Have you edited the registry in any fashion either prior to or after
the installation of SP1? Open Task Manager, click on File and see if it
shows "New Task (Run...)". If you don't see this in Task Manager then the
Run command has been altered, disabled or removed in a section of the
registry. However, if you do see it listed, and you can access the Run
command using the other methods mentioned, and you don't see the issue
mentioned by Mr. Miller then the only other thing I can think of is that you
have made changes using Group Policy. Have you done this?
If none of the above are pertinent to your case then I don't know what
to say. In any event, I'm almost certain SP1 had nothing to do with your
problem. Of course, I could be wrong.

True, but sometimes an alternative will work better than what the OP
requested.
Although I doubt that this OP will be satisfied.
But it is accessible, and not on the desktop......
