run as command

We want to remove the domain users from the local admin
group on the local PCs, but if we do this they cannot
install any programs or updates to programs.

If we use the run as command it will only work if the
install file is on the local hard drive. If we try to
use run as on a install file on a network share it always
states cannot file path.

any suggestions, please?

Runas will also always ask for a password and there is no way around that as
of now. I have asked that same question myself as I was hoping to utilize
it myself. You might want to make a bat file that aps a drive letter to the

FWIW, in XP Pro there is the /savecred switch.

You can also make Runas scriptable by using Sanur.
