Rules question

Nocturnal

When I set the rule to search for specific words in the message header and
then to delete permanently, why is it that some e-mails get deleted
permanently then others are sent to the junk e-mail folder. When I run the
rule on the junk e-mail folder, those messages are deleted permanently.
Help?

Look through your rules to see if you have rules that act on messages twice.
Set all your rules to "stop processing more rules" and then re-order your
rules.

After furious head scratching, Nocturnal asked:

How should I re-order it? Should I have the one that is not working first
in line?

Re-order them in the sequence that you want them to run.
