Rules override Junk Mail Filter

J

Jim Duncan

Hello all,

Outlook 2003:

I have a rule set up to move messages coming in from a certain account to a
specified folder. The problem is, the rule runs AFTER the Junk Mail Filter.
So if a junk mail message comes in from that account, it's moved correctly
into the Junk Mail folder (and I get the Junk Mail dialog), but then my rule
runs and it is immediately moved into the folder for that account.

Unfortunately, there are no settings in the rules wizard that deal with Junk
Mail. It would be great to have a step 1 of
If the message is Junk Mail...
so that we might have a step 2 of
Stop processing other rules
or at the very least, have an exception of
Unless it is Junk Mail

Any way around this?

Thanks,
Jim

Use search folders to view accounts instead of moving messages with rules.
