Rules In Error

Using Outlook 2K2 and WinXP on a home computer.

When using the 'rules wizard', I have checked the "Body Words" check box and
have entered the words that this rule filters by.

After a send/receive command has been sent, an error dialog box comes up.
The dialog box has a title of: Rules In Error
In the box:

Rule: Body Words
Error: You don't have appropriate permissions to perform this operation.

When I go back to the 'rules wizard' and locate the "Body Words", the check
box is unchecked. I can re-check the box and run the rules manually and that
works. But, in automatic mode, the error message comes up again, and the
check box is unchecked again. This is the only section that I've had a
problem with rules.

I've run the "Detect and Repair" found in the Help drop-down. That did not
do anything.

Any suggestions to fix this bug?

Somehow some association for the rule has been lost or corrupted. The
way I've found to correct it is to delete the rule and make a whole new
rule just like it.

You are probably not on a domain for your host at home. Otherwise, have
the domain admin check that your account has permissions on the domain
and not just on the local host.

I tried your suggestion. It appears that only that rule gets un-checked when
a particular email comes through. Sometimes there are days when all the rules
stay checked, then for no apparent reason, the 'body words' rule is
unchecked. I'll do some more investigating. Thanks for your suggestion.
