I use Windows XP pro at home, I have two user accounts, mine and my wifes.
We are sharing one PST folder, so if she checks the email it will also
download mine. However, when I created the rules to sort her mail from
mine, it works on one account and not on the other. When I go to check the
rules it says "on this machine only" and I can't seem to get rid of it. If
I create a second set of rules it will duplicate all of the messages as it
runs the rules twice. Any help?

I think I figured this one out, however now on my wifes account I get one of
my rules that keeps changing the destination. I can change it but when I
click apply it changes back again, I have deleted the rule and tried to
recreate it but to no avail. Any ideas?

With Windows XP, settings you create against your login does not replicate
to your wife's. What you need to do is set the send/receive settings
(Tools/Send/Receive Settings/Define Send/Receive Groups) against your
account to only download your own accounts mail then set you rule to
transfer it to the relevant folder. Once done, do the same logged in as
your wife (send/receive settings for her account only and a rule to transfer
to her folder)

I assume that you use Outlook, apologies if I assume wrong but I hope this
helps.

Regards
Daz
