Ruler not changing to other measurements

I'm Having trouble geting ruler to change Measurements. I have inches
selected and it displays centimeters. In fact that is the only thing it will
display. Does any one know how I can fix This?

In Word, click on Tools | Options | General | Measurement units:
<choose your preferred unit of measure> | OK. If Word won't let
you change the setting there, then see

Thank You for your help. When I went to the Microsoft article and followed
there instructions it worked perfectly.
