Rule for email to be sent ONLY if certain word appears in Subject

Does anybody know if I can set up a rule to allow emails to be sent ONLY if a
certain word appears in the Subject line. I am trying to set this up for
automatic emails that are triggered by the system but at the moment they go
out to everybody on the distribution list. I would like to restrict them to
be sent out only if they have a certain word in the subject line.

Any ideas?

detailing the steps you are using in the rule might help us out a bi there.
there is certainly a rule to act on a specific word in the subject with the
action of replying using a specific template.

That's true, I can set up a rule that acts on a specific word, but the
problem is setting up an action to NOT send the email if the specific word is
not met. Is that clearer?
