Subject: .rtf file format not available to save messages to

Hello,

When I open a message and want to save it as a file, I can save it as a
*.msg and *.htm, but do not have the option to save it as a *.rtf .

Is this normal? If not, how can I fix it?

Thanks in advance -- Dave

All messages, no matter which format, will always have the "Outlook Message
Format" (.msg) file type and the "Outlook Template" (.oft) file type available
in the "Save as type" field. HTML formatted messages will also have HTML
(.htm). Plain Text messages will also have "Text Only" (.txt). Rich Text
messages will also have "Rich Text" (.rtf). Thus, you must be trying to save
an HTML-formatted message. You can't save that as Rich Text and there's no
need. Saving it as an HTML file or an Outlook Message Format file will
preserve all of its formatting. If you want to save a message in Rich Text
format, it must have been received in Rich Text format or you must convert it
to Rich Text format before saving it.
