RPC shut down

I have problems with this RPC shut down thing with my XP pro. I have done all the updates, stingers, the firewall and security software has been running since day one and yet I still have the problem. I have run several different scanners and cleaned the nachi worm, blaster worm and others I'm unfamilar with, yet I still have the same problem. I have the RPC service setup to reset everytime there is a problem instead of powering off the system.

Any ideas.

yeah, I get it too, specially when in a chat room running
java scripts. I also noticed it happens when I am running
no-charge internet connection unlike the more secured ISP.
