certificate, %s. Outlook is unable to connect to this server. error code 20"

I have just recently run into this problem as well. Outlook 2007 was working fine prior to Friday afternoon. THis happened to me back When Office SP2 was released and there was no fix at that time i had to remove and re install Office and not apply Sp2. Now its doing it again.

OWA still works fine but IE reports there is a problem with the cert but allows me to proceed and OWA works fine from that point.

I checked the windows updates to see if anything had been updated that might be causing the issue and there is nothing new over the last few days.

Any help would be appreciated.

Fixed It!!!

I had this same problem and then realized that my system time was reverting to January 1, 2001. In my case, the CMOS battery was dead so I will still need to replace that, but after updating the sytem time I was able to access Outlook. Hope this helps.
