I used the File, page, setup, rows to repeat and it doesn't work, I can get
columns to repeat for every page?

It works for me.

You may want to try again or be more specific with what you tried.

I am sure that it did work for you. I am sure that I have used the funcition
before as well and it worked . To be more specific in the excel workbook I
used the file, pagesetup, sheet tab and selected the rows to repeat. I
highlighted the 1st 2 rows with the mouse to repeat. When I did a print
preview the rows did not show on the 2nd page of the sheet. I tried the same
with colums and it worked fine. Does anyone else have this problem or is it a
glitch in my excel?

Before you blame excel, does this happen all the time--every worksheet you try
it on--or just a particular worksheet in a particular workbook?

And you're sure that rows 1:2 have something in them?

Good points Dave, Yes there is data in the rows. I thought it was the
workboook as well so I created a dummy worksheet in a new workbook and did a
test with the same results.
This may of been happening for some time. I create a # of reports with data
that I have the top 3 rows and left 3 columns print ot every page. In this
report the data in the rows expanded past the 4 columns so when it printed it
looked as if it was truncated off, but in fact the rows were not printing at
all, just the columns. I have modified the report so the repeat data will fit
in the columns which allows me to get the report out, but I would sure like
to resolve the problem.

I don't have any good guesses.

You don't have any macros that run that essentially do the page setup each time
you print (pretty far-fetched, huh)?

You can test it by opening excel in safe mode (disabling macros):

Close excel
windows start button|Run
excel /safe

File|Open your workbook and test it.

and one more nutty guess...

If you print to a different printer (or printer driver and use print preview),
do things come out ok?
