Rounding to nearest 50 pence

I am trying to get a number resulting from a formula to be rounded up o
down to the nearest 50 pence i.e.

1.1 -> 1.5 rounded to 1.5
1.6 -> 1.9 rounded to 2.0 etc

How do I do this?

The ROUND, ROUNDUP and ROUNDDOWN,FLOOR, CEILING do not give desire
results?

I'm confused - you say you want to round to the nearest 50p, but then you give
examples of what you want such as 1.4 going UP to 1.5 and 1.6 going UP to 2.
The nearest one to 1.6 is also 1.5. From your examples I would have thought
CEILING(Number,0.5) would give you what you want as it returns the answers in
your examples.
