Rounding Down

I would like to set a cell in Excel to round down to the nearest .5. For
example, 5.75 would be rounded down to 5.5 or 5.25 would be rounded down to
5.0.

I would also like it to round down to the nearest cent. For example, $3.027
would be rounded down to $3.02.

Also, I am using Excel on a Mac which might complicate matters.

Are either of these possible?

=floor(a1,0.5)

and

=FLOOR(A1,0.01)
