IIRC, not all versions of PowerPoint support object rotation.
Select the text box, click on Format. Near or at the bottom of this
pulldown, there will be a Format ...X... where X is autoshape, object,
placeholder, textbox, etc. Select that.
(Alternately, you should be able to call up the same menu by double clicking
the textbox or right clicking on the textbox and selecting format ...X...
from that list)
Look for the rotation box under the size tab. If the box is grayed out,
then you can not rotate it. If it is not grayed out, than enter a number
and have at it.
