Got from sysinternal. But as I let it do its scan and clicking on 'Help"
file when it was finished a window pops up and says help file cannot be
found. Is the help file in the utility or does it have to downloaded from
the authors site? All that it found was one registry entry that seemed to
be something left over in HKLM and harmless and some hidden stuff in
temporary files. I have enabled "show all hidden files" in my computer
settings, so what is hidden there needs to be deleted but how?

Winxp home

STOP!!!! Don't delete anything. Windows hides files that are necessary
for your computer to work. LEAVE those files alone. NEVER delete
anything that you aren't familiar with. Better yet reset Windows
Explorer to hide those files.

Some viruses and spyware programs also create hidden files, so it is
better not to set Explorer to hide anything. When you find a file you
are not sure of use Google to find out what it is.

By the way, any hidden files in a temporary folder can be deleted as
they are not needed by the operating system.

As for the rootkit revealer help file it comes with the program. You
should have a RootkitRevealer.exe and a RootkitRevealer.chm in the
file you downloaded from sysinternal. The chm file is the help file and
make sure it is in the same directory as the exe file.
