rollover not working in include page

C

Cowtoon

I have an include page in my site and the navigation ... just text in
tables, doesn't change colour when I roll the mouse over it (I''ve enabled
it on the include page as well as in the page it's included with). This
feature works elsewhere for me, but for some reason isn't working on this
one page.

As a ps, I'm aware of and really like the behaviour of web companents
(buttons) that comes with Frontpage, but they take too long to load when
someone first goes to the site (displaying red-x'd boxes while they load)
and it looks tacky, so that's why I'm not using them.

Any ideas on how to get these rollovers to work. Thanks.

Post a URL to your page and the text that is the link to look at

PS
If you mean Interactive Button select the option to create and preload the different state buttons

I used the wrong term (thanks ... I should have called them interactive
buttons), but I'm not using those for this site.

Stefan,
You asked that I advise where the text links are. They are the navigation
links on the left of each page (part of an include page).
Now that I think of it ... I should check what settings I have for rollovers
on the include page ... maybe that's where I missed it. I thought I'd
checked it, but will recheck.

Meanwhile ... if you do see something wonky that explains why they don't
change font colour, let me know.
Many thanks.

Remove all the Font formatting tags you have inside your hyperlink tags
- it is overriding any CSS styles

Stefan,
When I do that, I get underlining which I don't want. Is there another way
to remove the underlining so that the rollover can work.
Thanks.

Set the style for hyperlinks to not be underlined in the Head section of you pages
<style>
a {text-decoration: none;}
</style>

As Stefan said, Remove the <font.. tags. Underlining will not be
affected since the styles for (not) underlining are NOT in the font
tags.

Ronx and Stefan,
Well, I think I'm stumped. I've fixed the problem the second concern ...
there's no more underlining, but then the font turned blue (hyperlink
colour) and was the wrong font and size. So ... I set the font type size
and colour at the top hoping it would fix the problem, and the font now
looks the way I want it.

Now I'm back to the original problem ... no colour change in the rollover.
I've set it to red, so that it can really be seen when it works.

I hope there's still something (very obvious) that I've done wrong ... so
that it's easy for one of you to detect.
I appreciate your help.
Thanks.
