robocopy /Z switch

The use of robocopy with the /Z switch has been slow of late. Anyone seen
that before ?
Also where does robocopy store the information about the /Z switch so that
when it restarts it knows where to start from ?

I would like to reset or erase any /Z switch info that Robocopy stores
someplace either in memory or in file or registry
