Roaming profile not updating

I have strict restrictions on the users of my network.
They're unable to make changes to anything on the machine
all setup through GPO. They have generic roaming profiles
setup from the start. The profiles are deleted off the
machines after they log off, but they should send any
changes to the profile server where they're all located
right?

I have one user who requires a left-handed mouse button
config. I've added the mouse icon to the desk top of this
user. I "run as" the mouse config and can change the mouse
settings for the user. She logs off, but the mouse
settings are gone as soon as she logs back on. How can I
make the setting stick or is there a reason why it's not
being updated?

If she is not mandatory profile, check the security
settings on the server
