RMB menu takes forever to come up when selecting a lot of files

On my PC, if I select a large number of files and try to bring up the RMB
menu, it could take as much as 90 seconds to bring up the menu. Has anyone
seen this? I have no idea why it happens. It doesn't happen on other PCs
here in my office.

RMB does not appear to be a program included with XP. What is it and who

I guess the answer depends on how many is "a large number". My
experience with Windows is that it isn't wise to select more than
roughly 250-300 files at a time for copying or deleting. Additionally,
right-clicking issues can be caused by having an older DivX codec on an
SP2 machine and/or problems with third-party shell extensions. To see
what programs have hooked themselves into the right-click context menu,
use the free ShellExView program from:

http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html

If you think this might be the cause of your issue, then disable all
non-MS shell extensions and troubleshoot from there.
