McAfee VirusScan found RIS.VBS during the latest Windows Update KB
891861 and considered it 'suspicious scripting activity'. Not knowing
what to do, I stopped it from running. But now I think it may have been
one of the regular scripting files that execute during a Windows Update.
Anyone know anything about this file? Thanks.

RIS.VBS is indeed part of the update. It does some manipulation of
registry entries, but I have no idea what the consequences of not allowing
it to run might be. Generally speaking, you should shut down McAfee
before running any system updates or major installations.
