Hi,

We have a ris server but I dont know how to use it.

It has the images on it but how do I initialise an
install, I have a new machine that needs building.

Cheers

Ray

You need to have PXE enabled NIC cards in the client machines that you want
to build. You may need to set the BIOS to enable PXE booting from the NIC as
well.

When that's ready, connect the machine to the network & either set the NIC
to be the first boot device or some BIOS's (like Dell or Compaq) give the
option to hit 'F12' when you boot the machine. You should then be prompted
to hit 'F12' again to boot to the RIS server & the blue logon screen
appears.
