ripping the audio layer off video files

Hi All,

A company called RiverPast make a product called 'Audio converter' that can
rip the audio layer off a video file and save it as MP3 (amongst other
things)...
Anyone know if there's an equivalent free program out there?

go to streams list and select "save wav.". If it is MP3, it will be saved as
MP3
