I now have 2 "Open " options when i Right mouse click a file. How can i
eliminate one of these "Open" options?

I use Windows XP Pro with all updates.

Criquet,

What is the file type? You may need to edit the registry for removing the
context menu for that file type (eg.. HKEY_Classes_Root\.txt for txt files)

Criquet,

The entry is stored in this part of the registry:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\mp3file\shell

Check-out the entries and delete the unwanted "Open" entry.

You can also do this using "FileTypes" tab. Open Windows Explorer > Tools >
Options > File Types tab.

The second "open" command appears when i right mouse click an mp3 audio
file.
