I have installed Win XP on a new computer and have recently lost the
right click ability to run a slideshow which was available on my old PC.
I think the utility was obtained from Microsoft like the Powertoys but
have not been able to locate the source. Can anyone help?

Google is your friend. Simply search using "powertoys windows xp", w/o the
quotes. The Microsoft link should be the first hit on the list.

I have already looked for the utility on the Powertoys page but the only
slideshow utility is CD Slide Show Generator. I am fairly certain that
the program was either on the XP disc or was downloaded from some other
source. Either way I am unable to locate it despite a long time looking.

Hi DD,

Not sure if there is such a PowerToy from Microsoft. But you may use the "View as a slide show" option in the Common Tasks pane.

Thanks for your help, I think that I must have had a freeware program
that made the right click option available. I can now run my slideshows
easily so the urgency has reduced!

FWIW, there is another slideshow utility in the MS Powertoys suite. It's for
generating a slideshow using HTML code for a website. There is no right-click
access feature, it must be run from a wizard.
