Hi all,
I installed SP2 last night on XP home sp1. I now find
that I cannot use the right click function in an explorer
window - I get a temporary freeze followd by a closure of
the window and a reset of the desktop.

Any ideas?

TIA

Jordy

Please read other posts before you make another one - this has been dealt
with several times. Divx causes this problem, as do a few other things (a
certain printer driver - I forget which one). Try uninstalling your apps,
disable DEP (data execution prevention) for apps then reinstall the apps. For
extra security, turn DEP back on after installation and add the known apps to
the exception list.

How do you turn DEP off? - I can't find an option for
this, only to manually set up other programs...
Tks

add the known apps to

Right click My Computer | Properties | Advanced | Performance Settings.
If you went to help and support and typed in Data Execution Prevention
it would tell you that. Use your resources.
