Right-click on Desktop

It takes about 5-10 seconds for the desktop menu to display after
right-clicking on desktop. On my office system it shows up almost
immediately.

Any insight about problem and recommendation on how to reduce delay?

Get rid of the Pentium II 400MHz with 64MB RAM at home?
(In other words - mind giving us a bit more detail? heh)
