Right Click Menu Customisation

In Word it is possible to customise the right click menu, (Tools, Customise,
then Short CutMenus on the Toolbars tab).

How is the same thing done in Excel 2003.

Many Thanks

Yikes, this is way over my head. Is there any simpler way to customize these
menus other than going in and writing codes? I don't have a clue as to how
you do that and don't even know where you would go to learn how to do it.

There is no way of adding items to the right-click "cells" menu other than
through VBA.

To get started with VBA and macros visit David McRitchie's "getting started"
pages.

http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/getstarted.htm

Note the links to other tutorial sites at page bottom.

If you like, I can email you an example workbook that will add a couple of new
items to the right-click menu when that workbook is opened.

After studying the material at David's site you could look at the code in the
workbook and see what's happening.

Gord, thanks very much. I think I'll probably just limp along with the menus
as they are, as I am afraid of messing them up. I'm too old a dog to learn
many new tricks.

But thank you very much for offering to help.

Your decision must be the final one, of course but............

Harnessing the extra power that VBA lends to Excel and being able to automate
oft-used operations makes life much easier if you use Excel even moderately.

Why limp when you could run?

Messing up is at least half the fun<g>

Thanks for the feedback.
